I vividly remember going to Big Surf several times as a kid. My aunt Dawn and someone else (Pat Perkins?) would pile us into a van or two and we would make the 45-min drive to "the lake".
When Stephenie heard that we were coming to Missouri she immediately started scheming a way for us to do a day-trip to Big Surf.
Unfortunately we only had 1 day where the two of us could take everyone and that day was full of rain possibilities. We decided that we should take our chances and go anyway...
There was a brief period where we had to sit out for 30-minutes, but we used that time to eat lunch. Lucky for us, we seemed to have the water park to ourselves for most of the morning.

I was a little nervous about the kids and their swimming, but they did great and it was easy to keep track of them since the park wasn't full.
Jack & Colton came with dad/grandpa.

Big Surf was a BIG success with everyone passed out in the back of Steve & Dawn's van.
